Week 1 :

It is all about our bodies: Head and Shoulders, Knees & Toes! We will make collages, outlying our hands, making self-portraits using different materials including paint.

Week  2:

Blocks, Towers, Gears, and Lego! Building Fine Motor Skills! We will learn about the shapes and 3D space will be explored.

Week 3:

Whales in the Water, Monkeys in the Trees and where the farm animals are? Building and creating your own stories about animals and learning about them. Fun Day! Day

Week 4:

Explore the art projects appropriate for that age group drawing with markers, pencils, pastels/graphite.

Week 5:

watercolor/acrylics/pastels or Paper CRAFTS all day long. Color, draw or learn how to make gift cards, decoration, tissue paper flowers or so some special collage. Sky is the limit!

          PARENTS & ME VISUAL ARTS CLUB

We are an Art Center, offering high quality daily artistic programs for children aged 18 month  to 3 years old, staffed by educators who are passionate and dedicated to enriching young lives.

We believe that using a well-rounded arts education at a young age promotes physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and linguistic development.
 

With the understanding that it is important to create valuable and meaningful experiences for young children to discover their talents, explore their world, and create a strong foundation for learning and success, arts programs & curriculums for young children are the most important foundation so we create the programs to reflect our beliefs.

​DESCRIPTION

This class is a fun-filled class for kids as young as 18 months to 3 years old and their parents to create together.

Parents/caregivers will  explore art together in a playful, sensory-rich environment.

Each class focuses on process-based art, early motor skill development, and bonding time.

Child must be registered as a student at ANY OF WALKING DISTANCE SCHOOLS

Pick up OFFERED from: LORD TENNYSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, MADRONA INDEPENDET SCHOOL, ST. JOHN’S SCHOOL, ST. AUGUSTINE SCHOOL, FRASER ACADEMY, HENRY HUDSON, GENERAL GORDON SCHOOL.

ALL OTHER SCHOOLS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN, PROVIDED THAT WE ORGANIZE PICK UP FIRST. PLEASE CALL TO SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION.

This program is designed to provide children with a nurturing environment where they can unwind after school, engage in meaningful artistic activities, and build confidence through creativity. Our sessions will encourage self-expression, fine motor skill development, and problem-solving, all while having fun!

PICK-UP PROCESS:

Trained staff will pick up children from school and escort them to our designated activity space. A structured sign-out procedure will ensure a smooth and secure transition.

• Safety Measures: All staff are first aid certified and have undergone background checks. We follow strict child safety protocols, ensuring a safe and supervised environment at all times.

Flexibility: Parents can choose from single-session drop-ins or ongoing participation based on their child’s interests and schedule.

We will explore a variety of mediums each week and make special programs  adjusted to seasons, various themes and studying great artists. Each participant will be guided from their skill set and will learn various techniques in painting including outlining, shading, and perspective. We will also explore crafts, sculpture, mixed media, seasonal décor, drawing, and journaling. Students at IAA art Centre  are encouraged to develop their own ideas and imagination. Give your child a great experience in our studio!

BEFORE & AFTER School Five Days a Week:  including drop off and pick up. Full time before and after includes PRO D DAYS for the year. The rest is $100 per day

 **Please note that the fees for all spring/summer/winter camps, pro d days, workshops, and specialty classes are payable in full in advance. There are no holds or refunds after purchase for any programs or missed camps/classes.

•Your booking is for a 2.5 hrs 

 (party - roughly 1 hr of art-making time facilitated by IAA instructors,   followed by free party time (food, cake, music)

•Art materials are covered in the cost

•You should provide your own food, drinks, cutlery, and any extra   decorations you need

Studio capacity is around 15 guests, including the birthday kid (cost is per guest).

We prepare our students early to become great professionals in the field of art, architecture, and design. We are thrilled to witness them grow and shine in this competitive industry and fulfill their aspirations.

Students who are interested in pursuing visual art in post-secondary schools in fields as diverse as architecture through animation, fine arts and a variety of design fields are encouraged to enroll in our Advanced Placement programs at the grade 11 and 12 levels. In these courses students learn how to prepare a powerful portfolio to gain both admissions to their schools of choice around the globe along with earning scholarships to help fund their artistic dreams.

Becoming a member of our extensive and diverse Visual Art Alumni is both a responsibility and a privilege, providing opportunities to network and gain support from a creative community of artists and designers.
